The Limpopo Police’s specialised stock theft unit arrested three men for suspected stolen live cattle.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa, says this comes after the local SAPS received information from the community regarding a Ford Ranger bakkie carrying cattle travelling along R71 from Tzaneen to Polokwane.
The police managed to bring the bakkie to a standstill on the road next to Mall of the North and upon closer inspection found seven suspected stolen cattle.
She says the suspects failed to produce necessary documents and the origin of the cattle.
They were arrested on the scene.
