Suspect appears in the dock for dagga in Olifantshoek

A 27-year-old man, Lebogang Boitse appeared before Olifantshoek Magistrate’s on Thursday, following his arrest on Wednesday, by police for possession of dagga at the hiking spot in Olifantshoek, Northern Cape.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock, police were patrolling and found fifteen black bags containing dagga with the suspect.
The dagga has an estimated street value of 7-thousand rands and weighs 11.435kg.
Kock says the suspect was charged with dealing in dagga and the case was postponed to 14 February 2019 for a formal bail application.
